Ruins in the Woods
Stumbled upon ruins deep in the forest—a small church with a little house beside it in ruins. My husky is loving the adventure and discovering new places!
Ruins in the Woods and trails
The ride north continues! Once again, I’m blessed with the best weather—bright sunshine that makes everything feel so alive. I love the sun! The ride itself was enjoyable, though a bit challenging at times. The sunlight filtering through the trees created deep shadows, making it tricky to spot potholes or obstacles in the forest trails. But we managed—still no crashes—and the discoveries made it all worthwhile.

Today’s highlights included not just one but two hidden churches nestled in the woods. I also came across some intriguing stone carvings that looked ancient, though I’m not sure about their age. It felt like stepping into a piece of forgotten history. Close by, I found a strange little figure—it might have been some kind of effigy? Or perhaps a waymarker?

Next, I’m heading to the town of Vittel! I remember it vividly—it’s a lovely place adorned with flowers everywhere. I had a long chat with a stranger while waiting for my meal. It was refreshing to exchange stories and hear about someone else’s adventures, especially since I haven’t had much conversation since crossing into France. 😄
