Welcome aboard MS Norröna!
The long-awaited moment had arrived: but first we had to undergo another PCR test before we were allowed to board the ferry......
The time has come!
After checking in and waiting in line we can see the ferry arriving in the distance, a huge ship (for my standards) and we are not the only bikers but there are mostly cars and trucks and holy shit we saw some sick trucks! Anyway after we get on board and made sure the bikes were securely strapped for the next two days, we did a quick tour through the decks, they have added a new deck on top of the ship with amazing view. But we were hungry and were eager to get to the buffet to get lunch which we booked like all meals on the ferry in advance. Maybe we could have skipped one meal or two as we were pretty full all the time. It was fun being on the ferry but interactions were limited due to corona and activities were closed like the onboard cinema or the gym and indoor pool. So we did what was one of the allowed activities and kept eating alot.Once we'd checked in and queued up, we caught sight of the ferry approaching in the distance—an enormous ship, at least by my standards. Bikers like us weren't the only ones; there were mostly cars and trucks, and I've got to say, we spotted some seriously awesome trucks in the mix! But anyway, after we'd boarded and double-checked that our bikes were securely strapped in for the next two days, we took a quick tour around the decks.
They'd added a new deck on top of the ship, offering breathtaking views. However, our rumbling stomachs and the anticipation of the buffet were too enticing to resist. We had booked all our meals on the ferry in advance, and looking back, maybe we could have skipped a meal or two because we were pretty much stuffed all the time.
Being on the ferry was fun, but many activities like the onboard cinema, gym, and indoor pool were closed. So, we resorted to one of the few allowed activities—eating, and boy, did we eat a lot! 🚢🍽️😅

The following early morning, we found ourselves at the Faroe Islands. The night on the ferry had been pretty calm, with minimal rocking and reasonably cool temperatures. However, this time around, we weren't permitted to disembark when the ferry made a stop in Torshavn, unlike my trip last year. So, the second day was all about us, playing some football, enjoying good food, and taking some much-needed rest. ⚽🏝️🍔😴
