My first Water crossing...

Another great day began as we got up and prepared for the day; the sun was shining. It was still only around 18 degrees or so...

More Dirt Roads and a closed bridge!!!

We set off on our daily expedition quite early. We had mapped out a few new routes the evening before, and I wanted to ride more dirt roads to get used to them and improve my riding skills. We encountered a lot of sheep, and we would continue to see them throughout Iceland. I learned that they are all tagged and roam the island during the summer months. Then, before winter arrives, they are all gathered up in a celebratory manner. This process takes more than a week, if I'm not mistaken. In the end, all the farmers and sheep owners sort out which sheep belong to whom and bring them home.

And there was a water crossing! It was merely a small flow of meltwater, I guess, but there was an official water crossing sign. The bridge was for pedestrians only and didn't look sturdy enough for our heavy motorbikes! As luck would have it there was a fellow bug on my gopro lens I didn't notice and check...

Here is a selection of pictures from that day!
