Last stop, Camp Egilsstadir
I'm getting pretty tired from riding and camping in the cold. We're taking it easy now because the idea of riding home through Sweden and Finland doesn't make much sense anymore. We only have a bit more than 3 weeks off, and there are some small issues with the bike. We don't want to rush it just to say we did the whole round trip.
Refuelling
We chose to take it easy on the last day and pamper ourselves with good food and extra rest. We got to Egilsstadir quite early despite leaving Höfn late. The ride was smooth, all on pavement, covering around 250km fairly quickly. Our first break was in a small town; I can't recall the name. It was a charming spot, and even though it was already lunchtime, we opted for the English breakfast – a delightful choice! 😄

After reaching the campsite, which wasn't exactly my style—too touristy with lots of camper vans and right in the middle of town—it was alright for just one night. We then explored dinner options and stumbled upon a fancy restaurant. A perfect way to wrap up our time in Iceland!
